I’m a 39-year old mom of one and a newlywed in the eyes of some states, though I’ve been with my partner for over 15 years.

So why “Of Cancer Born?” Well, as you may have guessed, you clever duck, I was born in June under the astrological sign of Cancer, and though I don’t pay heed to horoscopes, I’m quite true to most Cancerian attributes, which I’ll write more about in a later post.

What you may not have guessed is that cancer was my twin – I shared my mother’s womb with it and 31 years later was diagnosed with the same endometrial adenocarcinoma (one of the benefits of cancer – you get to learn big words). It was terrifying for sure, but this many years later, I am considered cured. Cancer has had a huge impact on my life, taking my father as it has so many. But don’t worry – this isn’t a blog about cancer (though I’m sure the topic will come up now and again).

So what is it about? I have no idea. I’m a strongly opinionated, philosophical type who finds humor and enlightenment all around me everyday, and I just like to share.
